5 weeks to the transfer window closing.

I'm sure Shep and Davey have the situation under control

Just my belief, but...

I think we'll start the season with Michael Coulson as the 4th striker - and if he doesn't do the job, we'll loan someone in.

You could be correct

and I believe it is necessary to focus our attentions and finances towards the acquisition of at least 1 CH of suitable quality.

WRT strikers I think we are now far stronger than last season on that front.

Odejayi has shown promise in pre season so far and has a better scoring record in league 1 than any of last seasons strikers. Cant see any reason why he cant take that into the championship.

Ferenczi scored more goals in 14 games last outing than Hayes / Richards or Wright. Will get the goals this season given the starts and the service from the wings.

Mostto is obviously capable if he settles and applies himself.

Coulson is a youngster wiith potential.

If the full backs are solid then I think the pressure on the CB's will be less.

Leeds had decent CH's last season but their fullbacks were utter **** thus they shipped a load of goals.

I am hoping an improvement in the full back position will help our CB's.

Agree with most of that.

I've got this strange, niggling feeling that Istvan won't even get into double figures.
I hope the lad scores 35 goals - as his workrate last season, in my opinion, turned our season around ... for which I'll always be grateful.
I've just got this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that we've already seen the best of him.
I very much hope I'm completely wrong.

I also think we need two centre halves - as you are quicker than Paul Reid.

I havent seen either Odejayi or Mossto play , but if Ferenczi starts the season like he ended the last I expect him to be on the bench before the end of August.

Leeds had decent CH's?

Hayden Foxe was the worst player I saw last season.
I thought Marques looked okay.
Heath can't decide if he's a centre half or full back.

I also thought Sa was a decent full back - it seemed the other side (with Kelly not being played due to the payment he was due for playing one more match) was their biggest issue - Richardson & Douglas looked a bit lost at full back.

By the way - I just made all that up.

And Jay is a lovely person.

Fully agree.
I've seen Kayo a fair few times - very raw, but strong & quick ... he'll be a great signing if he's eased into the Championship.

No idea about Mostto - never seen him play.
If he's any good I'd start him with Istvan & take it from there.
I'd initially bring Kayo on to rough-up tired defenders ... then hopefully he'll earn a starting place & we'll have some competition for places.

It's all pointless if we don't sign some decent central defenders.

If the full backs are OK I think it might help the CH's as they wont have to go and defend out near the touchline.

Although we do still look susceptable to long straight ball at the moment.

Saw them play about ten times last season.
The worst two central defenders in the Championship were Foxe & Paul Reid.
They'd make a great partnership.

I'd take Eddie Lewis & Robbie Blake without a second thought.
The rest were pretty poor.

Football is still ****.

Efe Sodje played in the Championship last season. He's miles worse than those two.
