Different Class. I think If we get him back it'll be towards the end of January at the earliest.

Said he wants to get a premier league club. Think Wilson needs to contract Hughes next week and get some communication going.

In Train Station leeds fan said he thinks Barnsley have got the best Goalkeeper in the league and I agree with that.

Only for many one more game though.

 

He is class. I actually agree with you that he is of a higher standard than luke. But unfortunately he isn't ours, and I honestly don't think he will be with us after this loan. I trust Steele to come back in a do a good job though, he's still a good championship performer.

your crazy if you can't see theres a massive different.

Go watch the charlton game from this season or the Watford game or Blackburn or Wigan game.

Also go watch Charlton game from last season or Peterborough away last season.

I must be crazy then , because I rate Steele, just because he is not in the Premiership does not make him a bad keeper. The player you are *****ing over is not even ours , I fail to see how glorifying another clubs player is good for BARNSLEY FC! Just like I cant see why belittling the player that has single handedly kept us in this division for the last few years is doing us any good!

I have no proiblem with you saying he is a good keeper, just the fact you constantly deride a player that is one of the best in this league, to try and justify your praise !!

 

I think they are both good Championship keepers, good luck to butland in trying to get in the stoke side or on loan to someone in prem but IMO not Premiership quality.If he was why did stoke send him on loan to us and not a top championship side?

 

Jack was trying to get in the Stoke team Wayne at the start of the season.

sporting lisbon were interested in the summer apparently and he said he didn't want to go.

 

Butland has been a good replacement for Steele (apart from Yeovil) and will one day be a top class keeper, maybe even better than Luke.

 

Obviously wanted to stay in England, cant blame him for being ambitious but IMO not Premiership quality(yet).If he was he would be at least on loan at a side in top 10 in Champ.

 

He'll be at Leeds by the end of January is what I am told.

He's a good young keeper. Certainly on a par with Steele, with potential to be a lot better.

Good luck to him when he goes back to Stoke. Seems a good lad and I hope his career works out as planned. But I can't see him returning here if the World Cup is his goal. He needs to be playing in the top flight, and for me, Hodgson will go with Hart, Forster and Foster anyway, injuries permitting.


From a BFC perspective, unless Luke makes a miraculous recovery over the next few days, we're going to need a new keeper with no Butland and Dibble injured. Don't think we can afford to throw a youth keeper in.

He warmed up yesterday although the club need to make contact with the Football league over another Goalkeeper on an Emergency loan and then contact a few clubs.

 

Personally I don't think the football league should allow us to bring in another keeper simply because we chose to release our backup without replacing him. Too many clubs are exploiting loopholes and the authorities allow and encourage it and to be honest it's a farce

 

Maybe he's fit again? Dunno. But as you do know, I was a bit late to my seat so didn't see the warm up.

 

I cannot see Butland replacing any Premier goalkeepers at present. I also cannot see him sitting on bench at Stoke or any other Premier club. With Danny back at Barnsley he may stop on
