I'd have him back here in a heartbeat. Didn't even make the bench for Norwich yesterday or even at weekend.
Very dissapointing career move for Jacob, shipped out on loan all the time. Should have stayed with us after the injury, got his form back up and things would be different. Oh well at least he's getting more money not even warming the bench, sommat to tell the grandkids that....
A few weeks ago I wouldn't have been bothered about having him back, if I was Flicker now though I'd be trying to make it happen. Our problem now though is numbers, surely we'd need to be shipping players out before we can bring more in, particularly in midfield. Ironic that the only player anyone has shown interest in is in the left back area where we are quite light.
Yes I'm the same a few weeks ago I'd have say no thanks but now we need something and someone different in the middle.
Agree in principle but if we get a chance to get Butterfield in I think we should jump at it. Reasons being that Jennings isn't fit and his work-rate and temperament are questionable. McCourt, I've never seen him play so it's difficult to say but he did look good on a 3yr old YouTube video. Problem with that is it was only on YouTube and it was 3 years ago For reference, Liam Dickinson also looked good on YouTube......
I think so far we have lacked quality in central midfield and failed to provide any link play from the middle to the forwards other than an occasional glimpse of Mellis' undoubted talent.
We are hearing that Middlesbrough are lining up a move for Norwich midfielder Jacob Butterfield. by skysportspeteo 12:08 PM
I don't think we have the luxury of turning down £1 million players, especially ones that can win a game on their own for a side. I'd have him back in a heart beat. But one of Mellis & Cywka would have to go.
At the end off the day, I don't think he would want to return to us. For a start.. We would have to pay at least 50% of his wages and we couldn't afford to do that. I imagine he's on 10-15k a week.
I seriously can't understand some people's reaction to Butterfield's move to Norwich, any player with a ounce of ambition wants to ply his trade in the premiership,
