Going to play in Poland? begs the question..why? Doesnt speak Polish has no connection or affinity with the country that has a much lower standard of living than the one he resides in now.Bigger club? hardly with a ground capicity of 15,000.

    It's weird altogether

He's not long since had a kid. I find it hard to imagine him wanting to uproot his young family to live in chuffing Poland. And I can't see how it would be good for his world cup aspirations. I don't really know about the quality of top flight Polish football, but if this club have played in the champions league they must be much better than the teams in League 2. With that in mind I can't see how Jacob Burns is going to be good enough. Maybe they want him as a squad player, but it's hard to imagine him being first choice. Also, there must be a fair few Australian scouts based in Britain, who can nip along and watch Burns play at the 'well whenever they like. How often is he going to get scouted while playing in Poland? Are they going to spend lorry loads of brass going to watch a player who hasn't figured in any of Australia's qualifying matches?

    Strange.

I'm not sure playing in the Champions League tells you too much about the quality of the Polish league as they got in because they were Polish champions but they lost in the qualifying rounds

    I seem to recall

We were after an Australian International centre half earlier in the season. I think he was playing in Romania at the time. He opted to join Wisla Krakow, & I think he said something along the lines that they would be better for the development of his career. It's just possible him & Burns know each other. If they do, perhaps it's not so strange after all.

All tongue in cheek like but look at what happened when Barnard was a target. Stranger things have happened.
