I would be extremely pleased if we could get Mellis, looked a really good player when he was with us last and is just the player we need in the midfield to replace Butterfield.

I was banking on us going down next year, but suddenly if Mellis and Mido comes off along with Etuhu, things are definately looking up.

TBH I think out of the 2 if we could only have 1, I would have preferred Mellis to Mido anyway - we were desperately lacking a creative midfield player with the exit of Butterfield and Drinkwater. I think if we can start to create chances again like we were in the first half of last season we do have the player to score the goals in Davies.

Obviously it would be great to get Mido as a boost to both the team and the club/fans but for me a creative midfield player was and is of utmost importance.

Hopefully Mellis will put the same level of performance in as he did when on loan and he is not another Chris Lumsdon!

Think Mellis has had his wake up call getting sacked by Chavski.

Hardly clubs beating apath to his door to snap him up so I reckon/hope he'll apply himself with us - esp once Davekeith have deconstructed him and rebuilt him etc.
