I have not posted on this subject yet, the main reason being I lost my mother 2yrs ago to cancer. I put flowers on her grave on mothering Sunday and remember her with such dignity. She was so special. I now suggest the Jade Goody circus is nothing more than an insult to people that die of cancer, but die poor. She said she wanted money (million) for her kids. How much do they need? Why didn't she say I dont want money but want publicity to make young women aware of the danger. I relived the pain of my mother dying through her story, I remember every stage so vividly. My father has nothing but struggles on. But we still remeber her with dignity.
Agree totally Although it is sad that someone has died of cancer, on all the reports they mentioned that about 1000 people a year die of cervical cancer. This comes down to around 3 a day, so on the day Jade died the odds are another two people will also have died. Did we hear about anyone else dying that day? Did Gordon Brown mention them? Chances are they have left their loved ones no where near the amoutn Jade has left her kids. She'd have had enough to leave them prior to having her face and story in every magazine. While I don't begrudge her getting what she could out of the media, who has actually given a thought to the other people who will have died of cancer on Sunday?
