You've not got a clue. We are building up. Every penny spent on the youth systems worth it and more. Now they need to be given a chance. Whens a young player ever let the team down in a game like Jennings did at Leicester?????
Oh dear. There is a glimmer of sense in what you say wrapped up in the daftness. I'd say it's only in the last couple of years we have come to grips with the academy system and now it's self funding see sales of Stones/Butterfield. We now have a decent crop of players but also managers too scared to play them as we are perpetually fighting relegation. The academy system like all football these days is weighted in favour of the Premiership clubs.
Agree with a lot of that apart from the premier league stuff. The Academys that bad that we've got players in different age groups who have REFUSED to go to Manchester United.... thats how bad things are down there DB3K Dt Red Rain....
No I'm not saying our academy is in any way inferior to anyone else I think it is now well run and showing results. Just that the overarching system benefits PL clubs alongside the ridiculous new rules on paltry compensation for young players
My second comments wasn't to you Jimmy Cricket. It was to others who have posted above you. Although one of thems been bitter about the academy since been kicked out of watching them apparently because of is constant bad mouthing of what there doing. Since then they have produced a player that was sold to Everton and gone on to play for England u21 and Train with the full side. Also produced a England u19 international who's away with the u19's now. Also produced good footballers like Clark Rose.... One of the others called Branson nothing but a PE teacher,
