Yet again pinching an England cap.

It isnt his fault that hodgson picks him but wtf is going on. Never starts a game for man city and looks a country mile off the pace, is there any wonder were struggling to qualify.

Walcott isn't helping Walker though. Milner is all over the place and keeps letting his full back past him.

James Milner's inclusion in an England first 11 says all you need to know about the state of English football at the moment and complete lack of talent in numbers.

Yeah couldnt agree more after the new rule change in football which states standing up doing nothing gains you an extra goal. Wilshere has looked in a different league to milner so far jimbo.

Yet again being picked in a position out of necessity.

Played wide right in the World Cup to cover Glen Johnson 'cos he's *****, played wide left because Welbeck was injured. He's a solid central midfielder that does ok whenever he plays.

He's like Dawson but with less arm waving and shouting.

I agree Dyson. He does whatever job is asked of him, a manager's dream.

Does a job that he's asked to do. If you expect him to go on mazy runs and score 15 goals a season you're a bell end.

I'm not sure what's worse - the fact Michael Ricketts has one England cap or the fact that James Milner has dozens.

Never an international footballer, and can't be classed as a central midfield player considering he's hardly played that position in the last five years.

    Tries hard. Isn't good enough.

Who do we have that is an international footballer that can play wide and offer protection to our full backs?

I wouldn't mind not and having £50 million in transfer fees spent on me by Bobby Robson, Martin O'Neill & Roberto Mancini. Must be gash him.

When the alternative is Ashley Young, who is just a shadow of the player who went to Man Utd, then I would rather have Milner.

Milner's role last night was to provide cover for the full back and keep the team shape allowing Wilshire the freedom to dictate play. A combination of a lack of movement upfront for Wilshire to find, and the fact the he also had a desperately poor game, meant we were devoid of creativity. Which has then led people to turn on Milner instead of those who were given the freedom to create from the solid platform Milner had provided.

Much like when Dawson gets wrongly singled out when he does his job very effectively.

Milner is garbage and im not just talking last night. I can not name a single England match when I thought he's payed well.

Its alright covering the full backs but at some time in the game your gonna need to cross the ball or take on an opponent, both of which he cant do
