    But we were in the championship when we got rid of him and he is not good enough for the championship

    He's probably a good defender in this division, just like Matt Done is a classy winger. Just wasn't great for us in the division above.

    Could say the same about our Keef as a manager :rolleyes:

    He was also injured quite a bit too. From memory, he was still injured when we renewed his contract.

    He gets remembered harshly.

    Had a good 1st season for us but injuries & bad form meant he was **** the following year.

    No surprise to anyone who saw him that first season that he can be a quality defender at league one level

    He was our 'Players Player of the Year' if I remember rightly. Was also a multi-positional player.

    Probably wasn't good enough for the Championship but which of our players were? Although I do remember thinking that Nyatanga was an improvement on him at centre-half - much more solid.

    Yeah we never should have renewed his contract in 2013. We didn't need him

    Spot on. Honestly thought we had ourselves a quality defender his first season. Even with only one lung or half an appendix or whatever was wrong with him. Suffered second season. But seems like a quality player at L1 level where steady wins the race. Players like Mvoto or Wiseman will always be cack at whatever level as mistakes cost goals at every level.

    Well done to the lad.

    Agree with that. He's far better than M'Voto but seems to get a lot more stick

    was a liability imo. he had a few good games in his first season. he wasn't brilliant by any means just slightly better than the others maybe. if thats the mark of a good defender we've had plenty better who've copped a hell of a lot of stick over time.

    no doubt like saturday he will have some good games for his current club too, that doesnt make him a good defender.
