Mood of despondency here in Burgundy. Can't leave the UK (yet) for family reasons so we're going to be cast adrift on the waves of negotiation for however many years it takes. A very sad day for us personally and the EU as a whole. On the other hand, it's looking like a good time to complete the move to Scotland.
And I'll be supporting the Out vote this time. I'm fortunate enough to have an interest in a property in Glasgow so I'm hoping that I'll be able to take advantage of that to keep a foot in the EU in the long term. I just hope that the government drags its feet in implementing the exit long enough for Scotland to do the right thing.
Interesting times, BR. Cameron has said he will stay and even the Brexiteers wrote to him last night inviting him to do so - whichever way the vote went. You would not expect Cameron to be in any rush to implement. But I fear the reality is that the guy's credibility is absolutely shot, and I don't personally think he will have the stomach to be responsible for the implementation of something he fundamentally disagrees with. But Boris for PM? Please! Further afield, I've thought all along that the EU will hastily convene a crisis meeting in the event of a Brexit vote and will aim to try and find sufficient carrotts to dangle before us to have a re-vote. We shall see!
