Yeah I do go to games.. have done for ages. I think if people hide their opions of him based on the past, and just look at how he has played this season he hasn't done bad... He hasn't been amazing obviously, but he isn't close to been terrible this season. He played a vital part in our equalising goal at Hillsborough for our only point so far this season. It wasn't a clean flick on by any stretch of the imagination, but he caused it by been there and challenging. Did you see that, or are you blind??? Still not sure if he is, or ever will be good enough...
Belt the ball into the top corner? If it bounced off his arse and through the keepers legs it'd do but it just doesn't happen. He gets mentioned in commentaries because he is certainly conspicuous. Not conspicuously good, unfortunately.
Most strikers would like to play alongside Odejayi. In fact, I would. I could fall flat on my arse every five seconds, stand around facing the wrong way for most of the game, miss three total gimmes, run like a girl, get knocked off the ball by a helium atom, and still manage to look good by comparison.
Gaz odi does not run like a girl, he wins more head on's then he looses and he does no fall over all the time. just get behind him. in the first half against preston he won all of the flick ons and 99.99 went to a barnsley player and Preston's cbs are not bad.
RE: Sorry but that comparison just doesn't hold Yeah all of that is true... obviously Heskey is one of the best examples of a target man playing at a level Kayode will never reach. But essentially it is a good comparisson because that is the role Davey hopes Kayode can play for this club... Heskey is just at a different level.
RE: He wins flick ons. So fecking what. Well it does... or to be more accurate, should. When you play long/high balls the plan is for the target man to win the headers, someone else to follow up and that's how chances are made... how goals are scored so how matches are won.
RE: He wins flick ons. So fecking what. and the flik ons he wins go in the opposite direction to what it should.
RE: He wins flick ons. So fecking what. Well some obviously do go in the wrong direction, but if watch the games this season, a lot of the times they go in the right direction, there is just no one running on in the right direction. Is that his fault?
My potential is also too trapped. I could have been a professional footballer, tennis player, golfer or athlete and I'm only a test century for England away from being a world class cricketer.
RE: He wins flick ons. So fecking what. most go in the wrong direction like he tries to head it forwad and it goes back or off to the side. no one knows which way it will go. his head is square.
so he wins the flick on, nobody runs on ? so whats the point then. In such cases he's just a defender for the opposition..... I wonder who's tactic that is ? mmmmn!!
Thats what Davey thinks of him...........what i think of him is this........ ..........Odejayi has had his chance and not taken it..........he needs to find another club
In kayo's last game against Preston he won 99.99% of the headers and only one didn't go to a barnsley player. The one where him and Hume was too close and Hume did not shout leave it and he flicked it on in the right direction but you was too close to him.
Rubbish and I am not having a go at you , but thats rubbish, He did not win 99.99% of headers and they went to our players, unless I was dreaming and not actually watching the same match
i did not realise this during the game MM but ive just watched the game on PLAYER and its true. He wins more than people think and the preston Cb's are not bad.
