Heinz Wanted To Stay On? So why did he tell the Norway press he didn't? What did Davey "win"? How was the injury not made worse by carrying on? I didn't see him with a bandage on his leg before the second half.
RE: Heinz Wanted To Stay On? was that Davey interview real? I only read it on here not on official *****. I thought it was a piss take. So he really said..'I won...' and 'Stan is **** in goal..'?
RE: Heinz Wanted To Stay On? I reckon Daveys comments were made in jest before anyone realised how bad Mullers injury was. He did have the bandage on in the first half cos he was singnalling to the bench for ages that he wanted it strapping and the physio came on and did it.
Don't know? the half time raffle the damage was already done His knee was strapped up part way through the first half. They had a corner which was delayed while he got it strapped
I just hope..... that he does not go to the same surgeon that operated on Watson.... he never played again.... When Hristov had his knee injury the club wanted to send him there but he refused and went and had the op done at his own cost.
Good stuff Especially like the "having to put up with Dowie" line. Sensible words about Hassell as well. Comes across as honest and straightforward (probably means he's a right devious git then!!)
sorry I read: I didn't see him with a bandage on his leg before the second half must get some reading glasses
with respect, don't think your completely correct re Hristov I seem to remember he was recomended by the then Barnsley Physio (Forgot his name, but he went to Boro) to go to USA for some pioneering treatment. recovered much quicker than expected. I'm sure if Bassett had given him a decent chance, he would have made a big impact for us.
The "I won" comment If you watch the interview on Barnsley World, it doesn't sound as bad as it looks in writing. Davey basically says they had a discussion and in the end they decided to keep him on. It sounds arrogant in writing, but if you watch it it's clear he's not trying to come across that way.
So who were the 'words' with? Was it the club doctor or a mirror, I'm confused on that one still. Were Muller and Davey arguing about something else, was Muller suggesting he played up front?
Dont see why we need a keeper give Colgan or Letheren a go the middle of midfield should still be our prority we can always loan a keeper if we need too later.
The bandage was put on during the first half, while Colchester were waiting to take a corner infront of the East Stand.
Gorgi went of his own accord...club recommended he went to Sheffield for the Op and he refused. Thats what he told me anyway.
"It would not have made any difference if he came off at half time really" Oh aye, if you've done your ligaments in the first thing the doctor tells you to do is go out and have a game of football. Some people really will make their mouth say ******* anything.
