Re: "What we are able to do in the market will be dictated by the decision Jacob make shape up or **** off Jacob. You're taking the piss now son.
A 12 month contract would mean he'd be eligible to leave us at Christmas and we'd be back to square one...
Benny Hill think different and he's a football manager so i'll trust what he thinks rather then you two
aye....and he has dun reight well so far old benny ant he?....ffs...you'll believe owt. On a related point i do wish dearest buttercup wud make his fekking mind up....presuming he has actually got a mind of his own. Come on Buttercup....make a decision ya clown. hth Buttercup
give it 18 months or so and he'll be at a club that can back him a lot better then we can then judge him
Would that mean him leaving on a free next summer then or will we still be able to demand compensation?
I mean offer him a two year deal, preferably three, but on the understanding that we won't stand in his way if come January/next season he's proven his fitness and a bigger club comes in.
Then the one-year contract is the no risk option. He'll be a top earner and not guaranteed to be the same player so can see the logic from BFC there
I know nowt. But I think he should stop listening to his money orientated agent, and instead listen to Keith - stick with us, at least for another year. If his agent gets him another club, the agent makes a lot of coin. If Jake stays, the agent makes very little. The lad needs to remain here, as captain, as the big fish, and through his performances EARN his dream move to the big league. Or, he could join a Burnley or a Middlesbro, and drift off the radar. Only at Oakwell will he be guaranteed games - regularly. And after the injury he suffered, games are what he needs. But, if a Prem offer is on the table, then I don't blame him if he takes it. We, as fans, just want a resolution either way. It's becoming a pain in my fine arse.
Spot on mate, I really don't blame him if a premiership club comes in for him, if a Newcastle or the like come calling then he'd be foolish to turn it down but other than the money aspect of it I can see the point in moving to another championship team,
I really want Butterfield to stay but he needs to make his mind up sharpish. He is tekkin piece a bit.
