Yeah, that was disgusting. Josh Scowen got assaulted three times and ended up with a booking to go with the multiple stitches he had to go off for, whilst his assailant ridiculously stayed on as you describe. Think it's something to do with small man syndrome with Stroud, later the same season he again scandalously victimised Josh. Josh had been horribly fouled from behind by a Fulham player and had thus lost control of the ball but Stroud unfathomably played an advantage. Josh, totally off balance from the foul on him, went into a second Fulham player as a result and, unbelievably, this idiot ref sent him off!
Many years ago, I lined at Sunderland, and after the game the Arsenal manager came into the dressing room and invited the referee [not the linesmen!) to travel on the coach with them back to London which he was more than happy to accept. Surprised me!
