With them making this public Redder i'd expect an appointment imminant. Maybe Cryne had a meeting with Robins yesterday and said he'd join aslong as his backroom staff would join too, with them accepting permission to speak to the club i'd expect they want to join too. Overall, the Rotherham Chairman has conducted the procedure well in my opinion.
Yeah its here Rotherham United Football Club yesterday evening received a formal approach from Barnsley Football Club requesting permission to speak with John Breckin, Steve Taylor and Nick Daws. All three were contacted individually by telephone and asked if they wished to speak with Barnsley FC All three confirmed that they did and were simultaneously given permission and placed on 'gardening leave' until the outcome of their discussions is resolved. Head of Youth Steve Thornber will take charge of first team affairs during the period of the current coaching staff's 'gardening leave' and will be assisted by senior professional Paul Warne and Chief Scout Alan Crawford. The Board of Directors at Rotherham United Football Club will continue to work towards having these issues resolved and concluded at the earliest possible opportunity
No problems with how they have conducted the negoiations but they should have remained private until we had something to annouce, what happens if we decide in the end not to go with Robins, unlikely at this stage i know.
if i was a millers fan i would want to know why the manager hasnt been taking training or at the game without having to read it in a newspaper and then feel like the chairman was keeping it quiet, if someone was approaching our manager i would rather know

Not likely JMV... Davey brought a team of 3 with him in Kidd, O'Hanlon and Kelly. Robins is wanting to bring a team of with him in Breckin, Taylor and Daws. 99% certain O'Hanlon will be leaving with Kidd, unsure about Kelly though. No idea if he'll be staying with him being the fitness coach.
RE: the rotherham fans are gonna hate us After hearing the **** some of the Millers have come out with on Radio Sheffield i don't give two shites if were ripping their management staff from under them. We're in a competitive business and Robins and his staff deserve a crack at challenging with a higher club with more potential. Sure if they get on the blower to Ronnie Moore he might crawl back to them.....
