OK! Accuse me of being cynical. So your already down and you're playing a side desperate for the points. Your manager is a former stalwart of the team you're playing against and has several contacts still in the club. Both managers are good at playing the agents circuit and know they'll need help to get the players yhey need in future seasons. So your a centre forward, who should be upfield, and come back for a corner and, with a perfectly good view of the cross, put up your hand without reason and give your former manager's team a penalty which gets them all three points. Your manager then rather overdoes the post-match press conference by trying to sound angry with the player who gave away the penalty and by making various other accusations against players who 'underperformed' when actually your team did pretty well and the relegation-threatened team were in it that much until you gave them a penalty. Of course, I'm talking about Wimbledon several years ago and can state quite definitely this did NOT happen at Fratton Park yesterday.(copper)
