Due to the recent Barnsley kit manufacturer tender, the lowest bid, and therefore the one accepted, was a company called Surridge. I ask ya..... Koala, Red Flag, Jako and now Surridge. Just how cheap can this club get.................
Does it matter? Do some people actually buy a Barnsley shirt for fashion reasons or because it's designer? Personally I buy it because it's a Barnsley FC shirt, regardless of who manufactures it. Why not wait and see what the quality is like?
im just sick of getting abuse for being a cheap, tacky club as my m8s put it! but i still buy the shirt though
Thing is, nobody can comment because they've not seen the full kit! Just the usual moaning and groaning about the club
Are you really bothered about that? I relish p!ss taking from people about BFC now, really couldn't care less. Just ignore them and find something to take the p!ss out of them about. It's reminds me of little school when people who had Nike trainers took the p!ss out of them with Hi-tec
Whilst I agree in a sense... How many clubs in any divisions sell shirts at less than £40 at the start of a new season? Everyone moans at BFC prices for season tickets/shirts etc, yet they're no more expensive than any other club. The issue is with football itself, not Barnsley Football Club surely?
Not looked into it but probably quite a few don't charge 40 quid for the same shirt tha can buy at blackford sports for 15 quid. Stack em high, sell em cheap.
I had a look into it a couple of days ago, but for the championship I could only find a few teams who have announced their kits this season (after not having much luck I quite half way through) most were £39.99 but were all well known brands and some lasted for 2 years. Some were less than £39.99 too In the premiership (our real competitors for shirt sales) most are 2 years, and a fair few are less than £40.
I think the last shirt is grand - looks good, really light, comfortable material, washes well and is quite hardwearing. I admit I chuckled a bit when the club announced last year it was from "sports giant" Jako...
