Still remember that brown tackle now , can't blame any player for leaving when they get offered 4-5 times what we could offer him. Be good to see him play for barnsley again

Massive shame that he's not getting games at Boro, he deserves a run, definitely a top player in this league. I'd love him back here on loan but can't see us been able to pay all his wage

Agree, he's just the kind of player who would flourish under Danny as he has a really positive and attacking outlook. Would love to see him back...

He's been promised today that he's key to Karanka's plans. Bizarre way to treat him if that's the case.

Hope he gets a run out at Doncaster.

32 appearances with 4 clubs since he left us. He'll be minted, but surely he's not happy with that?

Definitely not. But he can't pick himself.

We know only too well how much of an influence a manager can have on a players career. But as I say, the Boro boss has assured him he's pivotal to his grand plans so he's just got to keep working hard in training and take whatever chances that come his way.

I wish I had his problems if I'm honest. I tell him that. And r lass. But as 'dream' or 'different' a world they live in, it's still their world, and they're just as easily frustrated, depressed or whatever, despite the money and ****.

Obviously the money makes it seem a dream job but for some players who just want to play you can imagine it been a pain in the arse, you set up home in the Norwich area only for the manager to leave & the next one have you loaned out all over the place. I'm guessing he's then set up home in the Boro area to play for a manager who's since been fired & he now can't get a game again.

You can have all the money in the world but I bet it's lonely & frustrating at times

    Very true, mate.

But he'll be reight. He's got great family to support him and a lovely girlfriend.

He may never live up to the expectations a lot of folk placed upon him - me included - but he's still living the dream. As I say, I wish my only problem was not getting a game of football.

    Night all. :)
