oooh, like a business giving someones personal details to a director who uses it for his own purposes? That's illegal
''If a person has obtained personal information illegally it is an offence to offer or sell personal information''. That really is interesting. Coming from a completely different angle - what if someone gives their personal information freely, but was misled in doing so? Is that also an offence? Such as - if Dirk asked for my home address to send me some 'stuff' about hair growth products ... but then he actually passed my address onto a marketing company so I end up with loads of junk mail (and I never get the hair info) - would he have committed an offence?
