    He does wear two shinpads, its just that he wears the old style that you just slip down your sock so he has customised a pair by taking the plastic moulding out of them so he can roll it down round his ankle which gets him around the rule of having to wear shinpads.

    The ref should not let him play if his shins are not protected.
    He has to ensure the players are safe.
