exactly right know a little, like i say ask the top man for the answer, anyway i am bored with this now, lets get onto something else eh,
ok. and by the way, the reason I was asking in the first place is that i'm a little confused by conflicting actions and statements. Things appear to have happened in this order. Firstly the club got offered 6k tickets and asked for more but were turned down, this indicates that the club thought there WOULD be high demand for tickets and expected to sell out the original 6k offer. Then, the club announced that fans with colchester stubs would get priority after season ticket holders (again indictating that they believed there WOULD be high demand for the tickets). Finally after tickets sold out on the first day with many season ticket holders missing out due to the clubs policy of allowing 2 per season ticket holders Don Rowing explained that he allowed 2 tickets each because he "underestimated the demand". It just confused me slightly and seemed odd that the club asked for more than 6k tickets, intorduced an extra catagory to give more people priority before general sale and then said they underestimated demand and so decided to give all season ticket holders 2 tickets. The events seem to conflict with each other.
agree fully though that the whole fiasco has been badly handled by the club, why they gave s/t holders 2 per ticket is amazing, also think that that, and the complaints re the way of selling them (on that basis) may have in a way increased the demand for the tickets resulting in all being sold first day, of course we would always have sold all the tickets but i doubt they would have gone on day 1
