    A big congratulations to Fran Leighton, named Team GB’s Women’s Water Polo captain for London 2012. Fran is a local girl, from Wath. I went to school with her and played water polo with Fran and her brother for Rotherham Metro at junior level. Really great to see someone local going to the Olympics.

    Anyone know if we have any other South Yorkshire Olympians, obviously other than Jess Ennis? Is Ben Swift (cycling) going?
