Is he staying with us? if so will he be in his preffered position cos he was poor when he returned but never really got a run in the team. Very quiet on this lad at present but could be an asset...Any thoughts ?
I’ll tell you what, if Conor somehow makes a right full back out of O’Keeffe or de Gevigney, he’s a special coach.
I’m not sure anyone could make a right full back out of O’Keeffe. It’s hard to believe he is contracted to 2027; sadly we are probably stuck with him until then
Evertime I've watched the 21s Lofty as stood out for me . Very rapid. Needs to be played in his best position. Needs to be given a chance ,with a run of games.
If the poster above is correct & we are moving Lofthouse on, what’s the thinking? Am I the only one wondering why all the talk has been of a high press but we’re moving on the few players suited to that style of play?
Some players we seem to have signed and never really given a chance. It’s going to be ever harder to sell the club to prospective signings the more this happens.
Personally not that bothered if he does go. Probably a half decent wing back for this level, but is he going to be a top end L1 player to get us promoted which is the ultimate aim? No probably not. He's also not a proper right back. He's an attacking wing back which we don't use anymore. More than happy to see him, and o'keefe leave to follow Baz out the door to allow Conor to bring in a proper right back.
Disappointed if he goes. He's been excellent out on loan. Wasn't great for us, but hasn't played in his actual position at all. Hope this is a Conor decision rather than one financially, though I understand it if so.
