I can’t be bothered to go back and get the exact words, but you did suggest that the NHS were in for another spell of being overwhelmed. Either because of the protest or because of restrictions lifting. That’s definitely how I interpreted it, which is where the other responses have come from.
That's never going to happen, we will bother & we will have fun. I've had a fantastic day today, walked 27.8KM saw some wonderful sites(2 Blackbirds trying to feight off a Jay & unfortunately the jay won) Said hello to a few Horses, said hello to 90% of the folk that passed me. Saw a female Kestrel that I chased(not literally) Saw a Mistle Thrush, a Mouse & a few Squirrels not to mention loads & loads of Robins & Chaffinches. Fresh air & aching ankles It's all out there mate. Got home & I've had a few, it's all fun, then again I can't speak for everyone. I hope we all come through this **** A.S.A.P I truly mean that .
I’m assuming this is real but always dubious with videos of anything on social media. Haven’t seen the media cover this and reference this scale at all, but it wasn’t a small protest/march today by any stretch.
Just walked out of the room & left mi Wife & Daughter in stitches! It's all good , it's all coming together.
At a guess? Not as many as the number who die from Covid over 4 weeks after a positive test, or (as definitely happened in my HA area) the number of people who died of Covid who didn’t get a test, (when tests were expensive and slow, and a chest x-ray was the diagnosis method). But it’s a rabbit hole - some people refuse to accept ‘parameters’ as a function of statistics.
Step 4 - not before 21 June 19 July Social contact By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June 19 July the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact. Business, activities and events We hope to reopen remaining premises, including nightclubs, and ease the restrictions on large events and performances that apply in Step 3. This will be subject to the results of a scientific Events Research Programme to test the outcome of certain pilot events through the spring and summer, where we will trial the use of testing and other techniques to cut the risk of infection. The same Events Research Programme will guide decisions on whether all limits can be removed on weddings and other life events. Don't think I'll be going in any nightclubs and I'm most unlikely to be attending large events and performances. Don't think I'll be getting married again!
Totally agree with this full respect to the NHS but it’s an absolute farce the waiting lists and delays for appointments now my old man had skin cancer and before covid had check ups every 3 months he’s now not been for a face to face check up for over 18 months.. Ppl moaning about NHS staff being busy what did they sign up for you can’t join the army and get monk on when you go to war
Only knew this has happened due to it being posted on here, it's not had a mention on any news outlet that I can see, almost as if there's been an agreed blackout? Interesting? Did it happen?
True, however I don't think NHS are complaining about their busy working days. It's more to do with resources and staffing. You've got a pandemic to fight, to keep on top of and suppress, vaccinate including probable boosters etc. Then you've got all of the other super important stuff to deal with. Add to the mix we've still not got a social health care policy which is fit for purpose, Tories have had over decade to sort that. The cuts, lack of preparation for a epidemic and lack of future proofing (linked to actual forecasts) have nailed everyone. We've somehow managed to blow a huge amount of national money on many failed projects and a small few have profited massively. To counter reference a military analogy, it would be like asking our current military to fight in 3 separate campaigns. We wouldn't have the numbers or kit to do it. Conscription isn't an option, but plenty of retired medics have helped prop up the NHS in the last 18 months.
Bit like the brexit protests... well, given they attracted over a million at times, not particularly close to the brexit protests.
TBF I’m a million miles from a conspiracy theorist but the mainstream media have chosen to ignore huge protests for years. This isn’t unique, not even a rarity I’m afraid.
None of the protests have been covered in the media to any great degree. Yet when a lynch mob turns up in Batley because a teacher tried to broaden the horizons of his pupils it's covered everywhere and no condemnation of said mob.
