Aren't Port Vale challenging for promotion? They've done very well indeed since we thrashed them 7-0.

The defence has tightened up over the last 2 games.
A big improvement imo. The Bristol, Peterborough and Oxford games showed the weaknesses. Ball chasing, allowing opponents all the space in the world to take advantage of. And some poor mistakes didn't help. I'm hopeful of an improvement going forward once the players adapt to Collins tactics and gel into a decent team.

If Shepherd and Lopata continue to impress, I don't see any reason why we can't make a good shot at a top two finish.

I agree they'll be the 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th in the league.

And Wigan would have been top if no points deduction at the time. W3 D1 L0

We've a great chance this season. The squad is bulging at the seams.

Yes they look to be. And I thought they played well that first 20 mins or so against us. Not often every chance ends up as a goal though tbf!

That game will go down in our archives as one of the most bizarre ( and enjoyable ) Oakwell matches ever.
    It’s a funny old game Saint !!

One of them will struggle and not last the pace. Another team - Exeter, Stevenage or Oxford have had the better starts but it could be anyone really - will exceed expectations and challenge.
