Aye - he took 10 mins to settle in though - looked more shaky at crosses than Colgan. After that you couldn't fault him. And just like with you - amazing to see a Reds keeper who comes off his line!

Shaky 1st 10 minutes? He scared the rap out of me! but as everyone says, he was good after that and quite impressed me.

Distributes the ball quickly and always looking for his full backs rather than a long punt upfront.

Another good reason to start him IMHO

Colgan's hoofing rarely gets us anywhere (OK it got us our first goal last night) given we're not the tallest of teams. Encouraging us to pass the ball on the ground from the back seems to fit in with what we're good at.

    RE: Correct

Good intelligent throws to Hecky and Hassell. Plus he's left footed - which I like!!

Too soon to judge Lucas but ......

..... he did ok last night and I am convinced that Colgan's hesitancy and uncertainty causes more than enough problems for our defenders, regardless of the odd 'point-blank' save that he makes.

Give Lucas a run in the team and lets see if thing improve, in my opinion we will always struggle with Colgan in goal

Yes Lucas did quite well last night. Would prefer to see him over 2/3 games and then make a judgement.

Colgan can't come too far off his line or he'd get lost going back. I blame it on cheap Japanese Sat Nav!

    "Fair enough he dropped one"

I guess we'll just gloss over that one then.

he was also there to accept passbacks not like colgan rushing out at the last minute, also rolls the ball out to his full backs to build up attacks instead of just hoofing it upfield,i could go on,he should be our new no 1,just hope he doesn,t get injured!

I liked quite a lot but he did seem

to vanish amongst the crowd ofplayers at corners. His distribution is different to Colgans, but dont forget that aspect of a keepers game is down to coaching instructions and agreed game plan. There was a definite change at half time in that,
