For Richards read Roberts! Cracking player. 24 which is young for a centre half. Old fashioned no nonsense player. I said when we were after Gregory that I'd be pleased if we got him. But this lad is more us and I reckon is just what we need. Big step up but if anyone can do it from conference it's this boy. Loving a few boys from Halifax stepping up. Shame though for Halifax.

Would beg the question again of who is actually signing the players, as after looking into the lad Roberts (who I've never heard of to be honest) I stumbled across a thread on Tykesmad of people "ITK" saying it was a done deal back in December. Obviously it was never completed but we've changed managers since then and seemingly seem to be after the same targets.
I think the title head coach tells you who's picking our signings, I'd say it's a panel of people (Johnson, Mansford, Scouts & Agents) with the owner and board members having the final say. We where left we no saleable assets after the last batch of managers where given the cart-blanch so the transfer structure as been given a overhaul and now we have players like Hourihane, Daveis, Scowen, Winnall, and also we've seen at lot of our own youngsters who are vastly becoming saleable assets pushed through the ranks which is no accident.

For the record I live in Halifax and can't confirm he has signed for us. Merely suggesting were he to do so he would be a good signing in my eyes.
