Colossal. Became a Championship defender today. Kudos also to Adam Davies. Brilliant performance.

Think we would miss Roberts more than Mawson. We have been crying out for a no nonsense defender for years. rarely loses an header

Best centre half at Oakwell since De Zeeuw. An absolutely immense player.

I remember when we first signed him thinking that he'll be nothing but a back up player and probably end up going back out on loan to a lower league team....sorry Robbo humble pie well and truly eaten

I think him and Alfie compliment each other brilliantly, and either would suffer a bit if the other left...

Have to say I thought he was immense against Ipswich.

Remember thinking last Saturday that he looked like one of the players that was coping well with the step up.

I think they all have the talent to play at this level, but it will take some of them longer than other to adjust. They are the ones that will require our support.

    We would suffer a lot.

Is Mawson out of contract at the end of this season?

If he isn't he requires unequivocal instruction that he's here till May next year.

you can't make players stay these days, unfortunately. if he really wants out that much, he'll get a move. has to be the right money though. £3m minimum for me

Well you can make players stay. De Gea, Stones for example.

tbf De Gea is still at Man U, and Stones did another season at Everton.
