Just listened to pre match conference and the highlights of the meeting from Tuesday and night and mark Robbins has had a dig at hammill twice. the dig is about him traveling from Liverpool. What is the problem with that. many people travel over a hour every day.
To be fair To get to Oakwell from Liverpool on a morning would take about 3 hours which is slightly above your 1 hour threshold.</p>
He'll go to live in Sheffield Like the rest of them do, god forbid they purchase a house in Tarn. (doh)
He joked he looked like he'd put on weight this International break, Hammill was in the background and he said it was 'the body' - they both laughed about it.
The manager has made it clear Hammill has to move closer. and also said any new contracts for players, will also involve any player moving closer to Barnsley.
To be fair to Hammill if he is at work on time and the travelling doesn't affect him then I can't see what it has to do with anyone where he lives.
RE: To be fair to Hammill We travel back to Orrell near Wigan very regularly to visit my in laws. The journey on the M62 is often difficult with the volume of traffic and the road works. I think the manager is right to expect the players to live closer to the club. It can't be ideal travelling in a car for in excess of two hours say and then you have to train/play hard. How can that not effect your performance.
what about macken, foster, Hume, Anderson (i believe he lives in Liverpool too), Steele, hassell( lives in derby i think), devaney (lives in Coventry i think). i would at a guess say colace will live in lancashire as well. He has made it public of is friendship with tevez and that Mascherano so will probably live near them.
Sorry about that. I must have just miss heard. when i was injured last year his sister was on about Coventry and getting back there () had to sit in corner stand at the bottom. I thought they lived near each other.
11 i think. I went 7 of this month. There wasn't many there though because it was the day most had off.only injured players there. E.g. Preece did running for 40 Min's and Anderson did about 10 minutes of running and then went in with someone. They used to start earlier under Davey about 10 i think.
