I am pretty confident this is the club's first choice, although I am not totally convinced at this level.
As John Dennis once said 'choosing a manager is not an exact science'...... but you can give yourself a fair chance by selecting a guy thats played at a high level and played under some top managers, Davey was straight out of left field as our American cousins would say, no prior management experience just Johnny on the spot, this was a poor appointment for all parties, this time I'm sure the board will show due dilligence and appoint the right man. I would'nt be surprised if it came down to a straight choice between Boothroyd or Robins.
Perhaps, just reading between the lines with regards Barry Taylors...... words earlier, Curbishley would be a fantastic appointment, but, I feel he's hankering after a return to the Premiership without doing it the hard way.
