Believe it or not he was my first choice as new manager. I think he has done a hugely impressive job of rebuilding Rotherham and he is young and hungry for success. I also realise that we are not the most attractive proposition for many more established mangers, whereas Robins will see the job as a step up and jump at the opportunity of taking it. Don't forget he has also played under the best club manager of the past 25 years in Alex Ferguson. Let's hope some of his influence has rubbed off.
All the talk of Coppell and Curbishley is nonsense, there's no way they would put their reputations at stake at a club like ours in the position we are in.
If Robins does decide to take the job he has a massive task on hands, not only to turn results around but to win over the doubters who are already on his case. He'll need a bit of time to make a difference and patience from the fans will be needed.
Tactically and defensively he will surely be an improvement on Davey?
Good luck Mark, I think you are probably going to need it.....!!

    if you look at

the various polls on here he scores highly on all of them, it would appear however the ones who dont fancy him have the biggest gobs/fastest keyboards

If he gets a decent left back on loan and a decent centre half on loan then I honestly believe he is capable of getting us to a mid-table finish by the end of the season. :)

If Robins becomes Barnsley's next manager he will have my full backing. He is a young manager who has had a very encouraging start to his career! I just hope the fans give him the support and the opporrtunity to turn things around for us before starting with the negativity.

    RE: he's my choice...

If we appointed Arsene Wenger as manager people on here would moan, you can just see it "we don't need a foreign manager"!
