He could become a decent manager but we only ever saw glimpses of his potential; most of the time the football was turgid. The way he wants to do his job involve spending money, something we didn’t have. I don't hold any ill feeling but I certainly think him leaving was a blessing in disguise.
I couldn't have put it better myself. In the end, he was found out and in a desperate bid to improve the previous year's standing, he spent ridiculous amounts of money on loanees. It got to the stage where I considered taking my Kindle to the games as the football was so rigid and boring. The lady next to me used to read the programme all through the game and only looked up when the crowd got on their feet, so you can imagine she didn't look up very much! Good luck to him though. He's a decent man who did his best but his brand of football wasn't what I could identify with and now, seeing the football we are playing under Hillcroft, there is just no comparison.
