robins shafted himself when he walked out on us, if the rumours are true he wasnt prepared to work on a lowly budget, not the greatest thing to have on his cv when going for a job at the majority of clubs in this country
I think its down to once you have left the club owt that you achieved suddenly becomes lost from the memory and its time to slate them. Hill has got em taped as fickle.
As their chairman says, under Keith they had 17, 18 first teamers, and the biggest budget in their history. And under Eyre, they increased that budget still - thanks to our money no doubt - and have a 28 man squad. They have also used up their allocation of loans apparently. And sitting bottom four, its hardly an enticing job is it? Doubt Mark Robins is that desperate, and how would he feel swapping jobs with our manager so to say... bit strange IMO. Mick Wadsworth, SOD, or maybe Andy Ritchie of the ex-tarn contingent
It depends if he wants a job or just fancies himself as a roving reporter for occasional appearances on sports saturday. By the way whitey... saw your very long ramble on the rochdale fans network. I don't think they appreciated that. Telling them how green the grass is at oakwell now we've nicked a manager of theirs for the second time.
I dont think he anticipated being out of the game so long when he walked. I agree he has done his CV no favours at all.
It went down rather well I thought, give or take the odd imbecile. Bit like on ere tbh. And if you read it, you will know I was very honest, very respectful, and more than complimentary. As the majority said themselves. Did you read what they were saying before and just after we got Hillcroft? Moronic doesnt even begin to describe their remarks
I just think he was of the opinion that he could leave Barnsley and get any number of jobs where he could have some financial backing. Hasn't turned out that way with him still out of work and the jobs he does for are on lower budgets than he would have had here.
I remember reading an interview with Robins, a couple of weeks after he had left, where he was practically begging for the Cardiff job. Dream on Mark. I still fancy him to get at least a decent League One job - PNE would make sense. But I doubt a 2nd tier club will fancy him
