May not be the best player, the most gifted player..BUT. that lad gives BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS FOR OUR CLUB. And he is a minority in that. It was he who put in the two very very vital crosses that killed Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA cup run last season. The lad always ALWAYS leaves the game bathed in sweat..and knackerd . he runs his blood to water for OUR club. if the rest did half as much commitment as Martin Devaney then we would be looking at promotion right now and not worrying about a relegation battle RANT OVER
Hear hear, even if people do not think Disco is up to the same standard of the rest of the team, i don't feel they should be giving him such stick as he has done alot for this club and has been key over the last few seasons firstly helping us get promoted and then helping us stay up, and he can't be that bad as there are only him and bobby hassel left from the ritchie days so davey must rate him, and i will stick behind him while ever he is at the club as he deserves it
Hyperbole Devaney was cheered off the pitch when substituted. Good player, could do with serious competition though along teamates in the box when eventually he is in a position to cross a ball.
Agreed with everything, except 'he may not be the best player, or most gifted'. He certainly aint far off being our best player on his day, if not our best.
Wish people would get off Disco's back, great player who's 100% dedicated to the club. be sad to see him leave tbh.
Devaney and Hassell lead by example the 2 hardest grafters we've got, and right now we need battlers. And I nearly forgot................
oh absolutely, and to be honest I am only pillockin about, he is most likes a good guy. Opinion is personal and also an entitlement.Unfortunately on here there are way too may who do not like opinions.
Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even David Blunkett could see what an asset Devaney is to this club. If it's a Christian Ronaldo type winger you prefer than bog off to Old Trafford. Thank you
I love Disco, but yesterday the blood, sweat and tears weren't there He wasn't full of running, he wasn't harrassing the Donny players, he wasn't going in for every header. Only once did he show any passion when he made a thundering tackle in the second half. Fantastic talent when he wants to show it, but he can't pull one super game out of the bag every month and expect to keep his place, he needs to keep it going all the time.
You're not allowed to say that
He's either awesome or he's ****. Black or White. Chalk or Cheese. Can't be both.
BBS logic

which is exactly what Devaney isn't Probably the most inconsistent player we've got. This season he's been great in some games and awful in others. I don't want us to get rid of Devaney, but we do need some competition for the left side of midfield. Unsurprisingly, El Haimour has not given us that. What an utterly bizarre signing that was.
I was under the impression he'd performed ok? good crosser of the ball with pace, but a bit lightweight? Haven't seen him play so can't comment, but will we never see him again?
