I am trying to oragnise a Mascots race at our forthcoming disability athletics event in Leeds on 14 June. Traditionally we invite all the local sports Mascots to have a 50m sprint - much to the amusement of the kids who come from towns & cities all over Yorks. We need to get more mascots there though - Does anyone know of any organisations that have their own Mascots? (Already covered the new Griffin & Barnsley Building Society) - am thinking orgs appropriate to kids/ health/ sport etc. Any leads would be great. Cheers.
And here's one the boys in Exeter like http://www.sports-mascots.co.uk/athena.jpg Aren't Mascots supposed to appeal to kids??

I know Donny Dog.... He's from Retford and about 65 years old, think that race would kill him so l don't want to be responsible on the other hand its not a bad idea
Funny thing re Donny Dog Went to cricket event last year - the guy couldn't turn up until mid aft so he let a young kid do it for the morning - should've seen the look on folks faces when the kid was replaced by a full grown man - My how you've grown Donny Dog.
Badly broke his arm against Bristol City... and never shuts up about their five victories over us, think they forget they are now a division below us.
Got any contact details so I can invite him? PM me if you have contact details & you think he'd be interested. I'll soon put him right about Donny Rovers!
