Surely some of the stick is justified? Blokes taking a decent wage he's on a 3 year deal and he's basically disappeared. If he worked hard Surely he would be featuring as coles forms dipped macatees hit and miss but was shocking last night and were bringing a kid on who's only just old enough to buy a pint. Or is your post more get off his back stick to hammering Cole.

He’s been told to find another club in the summer. Agent was touting him around other league 1 clubs this week.

I’d have liked to see him play in a team that actually has wingers that can cross and beat a player.

And I don’t agree that he was lacking in effort. He became the whipping boy, and that then becomes fact.
Why do we do that to our own players?

I'm really confused now. Is a whipping boy the same as a scapegoat? Because if so then there's only Pines who isn't the whipping boy/scapegoat but that defies all logic.

Remember Watters was here last year too when we played great attacking football. He was awful then too

I don't think he looks uninterested; just looks devoid of confidence. He reminds me of Mark Ramprakash who kept getting picked by England, couldn't buy a run and looked scared to death. But he worked .....

I keep having this weird thought that McAtee is going to score early Tuesday and Watters comes on and bags two in the last 5 mins.

Nowt to do with hammering Cole it's the double standards that bugs me.
Watters poor before Christmas gets rightly slated for efforts.

Cole equally as poor from January to date gets rightly hammered from some (I'm not talking about the personal abuse as that's out of order) others straight to his defence, "he's low on confidence get behind him" etc etc!! ........sithi.

This will bite us in the arse. Cause with the right guidance and proper coaching he’ll score some goals in the league

Sorry I just don’t agree he was awful last year.
I think there is a player in there and I think he has had all the confidence drained out of him.
The fans who have hounded him have contributed to that. Criticism is justified, but he has been targeted more than anyone - up until now - with the focus on Cole.

The only defence I cam give Cole and macatee to a certain extent is when your tactic is 3 passes around defence then a big hoof we could have Harry kane upfront and he would struggle.

Watters is totally different to Cole at least Cole contributed for half a season the watters signing is similar to iseka and oulare.

I know, but it’s true. One of the clubs he was touted to are in the play offs. It went abit cold, probably holding off to see what league they’ll be in next year.

Makes you wonder what was seen in him to make them want him back on a 3yr deal. All transfer have an element of risk but we got a try before you buy with this bloke and still went through with it because other than that goal against that lot he looked hopeless.
