Unrealistic to expect us to win every game I suppose. If we do lose this, I suppose we can't complain. It's just frustrating because we have closed the gap so much that suddenly, top 2 was looking feasible. And then we go and blink first and let it slip.
We need more creativity in midfield. A lack of it has been constant away from home recently. Sure Duff can sort it out though.
A newly promoted team doing the double over us is why automatics are out of reach. Too many losses earlier in the season unfortunately. I just hope this game doesn’t wipe the confidence from the team - they’ll need it for the playoffs.
Prime kitching there again, does worldie cross field balls but when in attack cant make a simple short pass. So frustrating as a player sometimes
Getting desperate here - need to keep our heads. Doesn't help when they manage to manufacture three and a half full minutes of dead time in the 80th minute though! Surely if a player has to go off because the physio's been involved you should have to wait until they'd normally be allowed back on before they can be subbed?
He very rarely gets subs wrong and I'm loathe to moan but I just can't get my head around taking the best player in the league off and leaving on Phillips who's not had a kick.
Don’t look as though there’s owt for us tonight. Can’t complain, Exeter have battled through and scored twice. Very frustrating though, sloppiness from the defence contributed to their goals and most of our attempts at goal have been mostly woeful
We have been pretty average tonight. Exeter seem to be that team that we just haven’t been able to deal with home or away. Fair play to them.
Bad day at the office this. Nothing has worked, and our quality on the ball has been way below par. Just can't hold the ball or string two passes together, and none of the subs have done a thing.
It was always a tough ask to try and get autos and, realistically, I don’t think they could afford to lose again to have any chance. Unfortunately, it’s looking like they have.
No excuses. They've had a week to prepare for this game and it's been absolutely *****. If we'd played Ipswich on Saturday then I could understand this sort of performance.
