    I'd go for that! He knows the business and is still passionate about Barnsley FC. He had ambition for the club, and it wasn't his fault that ITV walked out.

    I for one would like to put on record my thanks to you Mr Cryne for saving our Club!

    I would be sorry to see you go as you are a genuine supporter and we need as many of those as we can but I'm sure that whatever decision you make will be right one for you and Barnlsey FC.

    Agree and I'm sure PC would love to do it

    but the ideal football knowledgeable, wealthy Barnsley loving chairman willing to work for expenses does not appear to be around.

    So we shell out 250k a year and a financial interest in the club for someone of suitable calibre.. would it be worth it?? suppose it depends on who it is.

    At the moment though nobody suitable seems to be showing an interest in either case

    agreed with the supportive PC comments above.

    In some ways having a chairman can put more undue pressure on people at the club.
    As soon as we had a bad run - you'd get 'sack the board' chants and less savoury 'pc' comments from certain quarters.

    it will be good for you (you can take a back seat and enjoy), good for the club to have some hands on leadership and good for the supporters (we can all be clear on the clubs direction). Appoint a Chairman now please.
