Saw her get on the 15:40 to Nottingham at the railway station today with a fella. Anyone know what she was doing in Barnsley?
She lost the theme tune to The Hit Man and Her in the 90s whilst doing a gig at Japanese Whispers. She's heard Don Rowing has it on repeat in his office at the club and was here to reclaim it.
Re: I know Autumn Watch are in the South Yorkshire area this weekend probably hear to tell rowing how to run the ticket office....she couldn't be any worse!!
Re: I know Autumn Watch are in the South Yorkshire area this weekend Sheffield area Nudge. Doing about the Urban Jungle.
Re: Y'all ready for this? It's where the whole Timerider/Cocoon originally came from. Also check dis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX323gqMPZk You young 'uns. You don't know what clubbing is. (I was eleven when this was broadcast, like...)
Re: Y'all ready for this? F.ck off. That's not what was classed as clubbing early 90's is it? Thought it was all underground raves, glow sticks, smiley faces and E's. It's exactly how it is in Escapade now. With the same music. And probably same fowk.
Re: Y'all ready for this? I wish I could tell you - my first going out experiences were in fvcking "Hedonism" mid 90s. Ask Dirk Hartog - he's an old ****.
Re: Y'all ready for this? Correct, there was a rave in Wombwell woods a few years ago. A report in the chronicle went something like...... one local who lived on Dove Cliff Road commented "l was just bring the milk in at around 6am on Sunday morning when l saw 3 people walking from the woods looking like they were 3 extra's off Michael Jackson's Thriller video"
Re: Y'all ready for this? You've made the schoolboy error of thinking that all clubs were like the hacienda in Manchester. They weren't. They played cheesy chart rave pretty much like what you see there. Not that I went to them. Whispers on Wednesday night in Barnsley, Leadmill in Sheffield and The Venue or 5th Avenue in Manchester was where it was at for me. Indie discotastic. Went to the hacienda once. It was ****.
