If he has then all the optimism from signing Mellis and potential Mido signing will be down the shitter

I'm going to stick my neck on the line here..... For a big lad Addison rarely gives the ball away and always seems to be in the right place to break an opposing attack up. I feel he's a scape goat for most on here.

Scape goat for what? I don't think anybody blames him for anything in particular do they? He just doesn't look mobile enough for central midfield. He had a couple of good games, I will give him that. I honestly think CB would be his best position, I remember reading the Derby fans forum and they agreed.

Opinions are what football is all about, and if that is your opinion, then you should stick to it, at least until you collect your new specs. My opinion of Addison is he is slow, has the turning circle of a trackie and cannot pass forward, i.e. Doyle - but slower.

Probably scape goat was the incorrect terminology, I just think people's reaction that he may come back is ridiculous.

He would be a good additional squad player who is probably versatile (midfield/defender) and who can keep things tight when leading late into a game.

There's some misery arse ****s on here at times!

I think you're about right, he got an awful lot of flack when really I thought he did very little wrong. Seemed to break up play as you say, but was lacking a bit of pace. Not sure if i'd bring him back though.

See I thought he did very little right. He was 10 times worse than any other midfielder we had playing last season. He may be a better CH , but he was a bloody awful midfielder. Slower than Darren Moore and nearly about 15 years younger!
