Morais had all the defenders that shone for us last year including Pinnock and Lindsay, as well as Yiadom on top. He had experience in midfield in Gardner and Hammill as well as Potts. Up front Morais had Moore and the sheer talent of McBurnie.

Our current coach, whoever it may be, can surely only act in the role of chief shuffler of Conway's deck chairs.

Agree, plus the fact that he tore up L1 playing on the right but seems to have been used in every position but that this season.

Jose Morais impersonated felines in the dressing rooms, played 3 players at left wing, put a now £20m striker in holding midfield & was without a shadow of a doubt the most mental thing to ever happen to a club that signed a 10 stone overweight Mido to help him avoid military service.

Struber can lose every game 3-0 & he's Klopp in comparison.

The way he'splaying we'd be as well off with Chubby Brown, the end result would still be the same.

I've hit the bar. Didn't score any points. Might have a headache in the morning.

I'm convinced no one would keep this lot up, but why do we insist on foreign head coaches every time.

And there's a lot of noise coming from them, I don't think, they are just not interested, purely
    Another asset to them

Said it before, we have reached the stage now where strange team selections and formations happen. It's a desperate attempt to find a a winning formula.

Despite everything “chief shuffler of Conway's deck chairs.”. Made me chuckle thanks.

Cos no Brit will touch us with a million foot barge pole, they know our "Plan" and that it doesn't work.
Foreigners think they'll eventually end up in the Prem and don't realise they'll get sacked at the end of their first season with our dozy marys in charge.

Your probley right there I'd have liked to have seen stuart grey given a chance to sort the defence out.

We were lucky not to lose by 3 or 4. Apart from Brown hitting the crossbar, I'm not sure what game you were watching. We have nice approach play, that falls down & the other team picks up the ball & takes the piss. Our defence is like a whore's legs. Open & accepting.

He didnt give us a chance, no holding midfielder Dougal didnt even get on and he prefers halme in that position.

Anderson and Cavare defensive disasters game after game.

No midfield structure, no width, we were stronger under Murray, i m not daft i know its only a week in and he will get a better idea of his players in the coming weeks.

I somehow doubt it. The current head coach will be sacked at the end of the season, they'll spend the bulk of pre-season fannying about appointing a successor and the transfer dealings will carry on regardless with a recruitment team that don't know their arse from their elbow.

That's the problem. We need to start with a non-losing formula then evolve into a winning one. Murray was going that way but this board has gone out and got another high press instinct manager. Great, if he's got the squad for it. When he realises he really, really hasn't got that squad, he will have to find a way to play that is not natural for him. Or, he gets bought some critical talent to give him that squad. Let's not forget the G'press is not an easy style to play. Also, some of our 'defensive' errors are not especially defensive - just not being able to pass accurately. It's a basic skill that you'd expect players at this level to be able to do nine times out of ten. We have the same failing up front.
