    Wow, brilliant news. We could do with a reserve league next season though.

    Not sure how the club would finance it but if Barnsley could make a team of first year pros it would be good.

    the circumstances have changed. EIGHT first year pro's take away the keeper and you have 7. If non are playing for the first team then only 3 at any one time can play for u18's.

    not only the young-uns but it would benifit players that need match fitness and players coming back from injury, plus the odd trialist: i know theres the old chestnut about the young-uns not getting a look in but you gotta try and balance it.

    Very Davey-esque, just before he got the boot. I believe that professional clubs need a reserve side, it limits the options a manager has in some respects if we don't have one.
