Personally, I recon there is still an half chance both could come good. However, certain BFC fans please look at yourself in the mirror an ask ' Why did we lambast Mattis after 3 games (signed from lower league outfit Bury for £50,000) yet still keep trying to find positives with Mostto after 5 games (signed from exotic sounding shores for £400,000)'. CLUE: See info in brackets.
Personally I think it stinks the treatment Mattis has received since become a BFC player. And from so called fans who probably couldn't kick a fooking ball if they tried.
agree mate - hassell took quite a while to bed in after coming from mansfield and look what happened with him.
To be even fairer he cost 8 x the Mattis fee and is an international but his contribution has been no greater than Dwaynes................ .........admittedly if he was coming over here as an after dinner speaker Im sure the language problem would be a barrier (though still Im sure he would be funnier than Jim Davidson) but ffs he's a footballer....................On the other hand when all the other players are having the traditional - and usually peurile - dressing room banter then poor Miguel must just sit there thinking 'why the hell didn't I stay back in Peru...........it can't be too comfortable for the lad in them situatiosn. PersonAlly, I think he is homesick but as mentioned I think it's ironic how a lot of fans are much more patient with him than poor DM.
Surely any player should be judged say after 10-20 games at least - and certainly not 3. The one thing I have seen from Mattis which is a positive is that he didn't go loking for hiding places which certain players have done in the past (Mike Sheron?)
mostto is yet to impress me too but ill give him time to settle Mattis has just looked totally out of his depth every time ive seen him - but again he probably need time. IM sure we'l get more change out him than whatshis face that came from Scunny... forgotten his bleedin name now!
Mattis did alright tonight against Premiership opposition. He's still 6th choice in the centre of the park though
that will have done him no harm. if he develops into the sort of player he shows the odd flash he could be, ie. a tall holding midfielder who can read the game, tackle and be good in the air, he will be worth millions. only time and a bit of patience will tell
To be honest Mostto was **** tonight. But he didn't come all the way from Peru to plough a lone furrow up front against a Premiership defence. I'll judge him after he's played a dozen games.
