I own a Creative Zen...never had any problems with it until Saturday...
There was a can of something fizzy in my bag which somehow was punctured and leaked everywhere in my bag...
Now the MP3 player won't turn on and is seemingly fecked.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend anything I can do to get it replaced or fixed without having to shell out £160 for a new one?
Ta

Strange, I seem to accidentally damage electronic goods on saturdays only!
If its water damage forget about it mate, especially if its a soft drink with acid and/or sugar content. Nowt you can do, happened to me several time

I assume you've tried all the usual stuff, like trying to power up via USB (careful if wet though) , plugging it in to the recharge, and of course the reset button?
Once you've tried everything else, this worked for a friend who dropped her phone into a pint of lager. Give it a bath. Take any battery that you can find out, fill a sink with cold water and swish your mp3 player around in it for a fairly long time. No need to be shy - you should be trying this at the point where it either works or you've got a broken mp3 player anyway. Once you've bathed it properly, leave it to dry on a radiator for a day or so, then put the batteries back in and it might just work.
I found the same advice yesterday... on another forum...I think I may have a go at doing what you say. I've also been advised to try and rub it with alcohol to try and get rid of the sugar
