Just watching Budesliga highlights & he kept Mainz in the match. They eventually drew 1-1 but Muller was brill.

    Just seen that too

He made some good one-on-one saves dint he.

I enjoyed watching that Elson playing for Stuttgart. He scores a wonder goal but all his team mates think he's a knob so he had to celebrate on his own!

shame he wasn't last season..... fresh star was perhaps what he needed

Don't get me wrong he's a good keeper, and was world class in his first season at Oakwell..... But last season I felt he was at fault far to often, mistakes he would not have made in his first season. Also he did look as mobile last year, and stayed flat footed in his six yard box far to often.... again something he wouldn;t have done in his first season.... I wondered this was a result of his knee injury...

Main problem I feel was that he was rushed back from injury, and he perhaps became complacent as he was dropped and didn't feel challenged for his place in the team even though we had quality back up in Steele.

I still feel it was right time for him to move, and Steele deserved his chance! Hope he does well at Mainz, and greatful for memories he gave us at Oakwell.

    Definitely Johnny

Certainly was time to move on, but was excellent pre-injury. Best keeper i've ever seen for us tbh.
