Reading this message board over the last six months I really feel some people do over react.Every win doesn't mean we are going to win the league and every defeat shouldn't signal the Ritchie out brigade to appear.This club has come a long way in the last twelve months both on and off the field.I personally think we will at least be in the playoffs at the end of the season but if we don't the club has layed solid foundations for the future and I think Cryne,Shephard and Ritchie etc deserve our continued support and not derision every time a result goes against us.
f**kinell some sense at last,this club has been in the sh*t for an awful long time and you cant turn it round overnight,ritchie has made a solid start and you have to be a bit of a tit not to realise we have made progress this season,i said before the start of the seson i would be happy with a top ten finish as to me that would represent real progress,we may or may not get in the play offs this season, but if we dont we will go up next season.
agree 100% i dread coming on here after a game as loads overreact and slag off the whole team. yet most who do that don't go to half of the games (away matches). looking at this site from yesterday and the posts from those who heard the match on the radio.....
Spot on. I think Ritchie has made some decent signings and one or two poor ones but we have definitely made some progress this season. Back in August I wouldn't have given us a chance of reaching the play offs but we are not far away. In all honesty I think we will miss out because our away form is poor and the worrying thing is that most of our remaining away games are against top half sides. The main thing we lack is a settled centre half pairing and this must be addressed in the summer. For what its worth my current strongest side (when all fit) would be : Colgan Austin Reid Kay Heckingbottom Shuker Burns Howard Devaney Hayes Wright Subs Flinders McPhail Hassell Nardiello Richards I've left out Carbon as he only plays one game in four at best and I would like to find a place in the starting eleven for Nads cos he's the only natural finisher we've got. Problem is he's just bone idle and needs a huge kick up the backside, a real waste of talent at the moment.
People all around say "if we keep on playing we wont get promoted - rant rant rave rave theyre crap" i cant beleive your complaining with our situation at the minute. after seasns of no hope we're doing something good not even with as strong a squad as some weve had before and people are all over the team back. Get real, we win people are loving ritchie we lose and its **** off ya *****
i made that point when radio listeners like me were voting for motm and complaining about poor performances. That is a stupid and irratating thing they do.
