I don't know what you can read into a game for Worksop but here are a couple of comments about his debut for them: - Yes we finally got a win well done lads great debut from Jarman we need now 2 more wins against lancater and Redditch to make us safe come on Worksop - Wow, went to the game today - how did we manage to sign Jarman ? He really seemed to make everything click into place. Seemed to have a great first touch and that is by far and away the best goal I have ever seen down at town ! Unbelievable ! - overhead kick from fully 20 yards -Lets hope he can kick on and get more goals for us, I dont think it should be a problem for a player of his obvious ability. Thanks Barnsley ! - He definately has signed and he definately has class much higher than our predicament ! Scored a wonderful over head kick and never stopped running, just what we need from a loan signing, energy, determination, guts, talent, skill and above all else - goals !

You aren't too far off th emark there mate. Big head and should have broken into the first team by now at his age. The fact that he hasn't speaks volumes.

On Saturday, Worksop put in the typical shift at the coal face that a team needs when the fate of their season hangs in the balance. But allied with the endeavour and industry came a touch of magic provided by a young man, mined from a gritty Yorkshire seam. Nathan Jarman's overhead kick on 31 minutes, to give the Tigers a two-goal cushion, will live long in the memory. Strikes that take your breath away are rare at this level, save for the odd 25-yarder into the top corner. But few could have executed a scissor kick of such a high standard, and in such an important must-win game. Jarman has been snapped up on a one-month loan deal from Championship-side Barnsley and will be available for the next five games as Ian Bowling's side strive to break away from the relegation dogfight. While Jarman made the headlines on his debut, the Tigers had another 10 unsung heroes who went about their jobs with steely resolve. The defence was back to the Autumn form that saw them climb to the periphery of the play-off places, and the midfield – marshalled by a captain in Tony Crane who was out to prove a few points – dominated Barrow's quartet, letting them to do their creative work far away from Martin Taylor's goal. Barrow enjoyed the majority of possession in the opening exchanges but came up against a determined defence. Worksop took the lead on 18 minutes from a half chance. Luke Staton's free-kick was headed into the air by Ben Saunders and Jarman, before falling to Jon Froggatt on the edge of the area. After three goals in three games, Froggatt's deployment on the left flank appeared a strange decision by the manager, but the 25-year-old put any doubt to the back of his mind and arrowed a half volley into the net, via the inside of the post. Saunders could have doubled the lead seconds later when goalkeeper Ashley Timms sliced a clearance. Saunders hit it first time from 25 yards but Barrow defender Chris Butler got back to retrieve. Jarman hinted at his quality on 29 minutes when he lost his marker in a crowded area and glanced a header wide from Staton's free-kick. It was the sort of movement you associate with a Football League player – speed of thought, speed of mind. Two minutes later he had everyone at Sandy Lane applauding. Another Staton free-kick was cleared and Froggatt swung it back into the melting pot. Saunders flicked the ball high into the air and Jarman, with his back to goal eight yards out and a defender breathing down his neck, looked to have limited options. Instead of controlling the ball and moving it on, he launched himself into orbit and flicked a boot at the ball, sending it soaring into the top corner. His celebration, kissing the ring and running to the fans, was reminsicent of the great Raul at Real Madrid. The entire passage of play was straight from the Bernabeu. From two half-chances Worksop had built a two-goal lead. Thoughts of the collapse against Farsley crept to mind, but the Tigers had more about them in every department. Kevin Davies and Luke Pritchard made vital interceptions to deny Barrow a chance and the closest the visitors came in the first half was a long-range effort from Colin Potts. Paul Brown kept Taylor's hands warm with a 20-yard effort early in the second half. Taylor then earned his money with a a smart double save on 58 minutes, first to deny Brown who had shot from an angle and then to frustrate Ryan Zico Black who was quickest to the rebound. Right-back Andy Bond forced a good save from Taylor at his near post and then Darren Sheridan – brother of former Sheffield Wednesday star John – hit a long-range drive wide. After weathering the storm, Worksop sought a third. Saunders played the overlapping Lee Thompson down the wing and his cross was met by Jarman who headed back across goal but against the crossbar. Then with seven minutes left, another sliced clearance from Timms landed at the feet of Thompson 40 yards from goal. He controlled the ball and drilled it hard, but Timms got back to tip it around the post. Zico Black was sent off for Barrow in the last minute for dissent.
