I have been reading the forum for a while and with the current state of affairs I thought I would join and give my opinion, please be gentle. At the moment it isn’t good enough and I’m sure everyone will agree with that. We can’t just keep using the same “let’s stick to the plan” and the “it will come good, look what Hecky did last season” excuses. In my opinion it’s time for change, Hecky has taken us as far as he can and he has done well on a shoe string budget (for this league). I have always said we aren’t going to do anything while we are getting 10-15k at home. We just can’t compete with the larger teams in the division. More and more teams are now going with the same recutument plan as us after seeing how well we have done. Meaning they are after the same players. We are not able to offer the same wages as them so that plan has to change. It will no longer work. I don’t know what the answer is at the moment and I don’t think the management does either but having a go at each other like I saw yesterday isn’t the answer. Yes we need to get behind the team but someone who has a different opinion doesn’t need to be shot down and as I saw yesterday attacked by our own supporters. A win on Saturday would be a great moral boost but unfortunately I can’t see where the next win is coming from. I hope I am wrong but when looking at the table I struggle to see 3 teams that are worse than us. Think this is the year we just aren’t good enough.
I think he needs help. If we bing in someone to give him a hand and it still doesn’t work then a full overhaul is needed.
