How desperate will the next manager be to know he won't last long. Will we buy British or go for a European who ever we end up with I'm feeling sorry for the guy or gal what a tough task ahead . For me I would go for someone who has been around a bit and give us some much needed stability. But if we get on his back they won't be long for the chop.

Whoever it is, if they are successful they will be poached by a club willing to pay his (very unlikely to be female) contract up. If unsuccessful; that is fails to make the top 6, he will get the sack.

All of this assumes we do not get in the play offs this season. If this is the case, Connor will get the job. Beyond that see first paragraph.

Very unlikely getting to the play offs, but I see your point on the bigger boys swooping in for them if a successful end to the season.

Our optimal appointment is likely British, successful in this league, but struggled or had an unsuccessful stint in the next one up - this combination makes them more likely to consider us as an option, more likely to know how to get out of this division, and less likely to jump ship for greener pastures at the first offer.

Two managers who fit these criteria are Warne and Duff.
With Duff he obviously knows what it’s like to work here, maybe doesn’t want it again, and would fairly quickly have fans turn on them if it isn’t going great.

Personally I think it could be McCann or Moore.

The only thing I think the board has got right is it's set the bare minimum of Play-Offs.
