Surely we have a golden opportunity to move up the table and relieve some of the pressure building up on Wilson. Port Vale, Oldham, Fleetwood, Crewe, plus Crawley away...these games look very winnable and if we're still hovering around the relegation zone by the end of February then I'd be very worried.
We won't be. There are at least 12 points to be bagged from that lot. Maybe even get all 15 if SSW comes back next week and is firing immediately.
The trouble is confidence must be very low at the minute, if the players can somehow dominate a game (like next week) and get three points then we might see them play a lot better rather than just be concerned about keeping it tight, which doesn't really get you anywhere long term. Winnall would be a massive boost, very unfortunate to lose him when we did and with him in the side I think we'd have been talking about some very different performances over the last few weeks. He was right in front of me when he injured himself against Scunny and I said to my mate just before I thought he was trying a bit too hard with it being his old club.
I can't see us losing to Crawley to be honest. They are a real poor team, as are we but would fancy us getting a draw there to be honestly, especially with how we line up away from home and them not having the firepower up top to take advantage of us sitting back. We should beat crewe at home and definitely take something from the Oldham game, whether it's a draw or a win, I don't know. Port Vale will be very tough on Saturday with how we've been playing but I really can't see us winning. Fleetwood will be the tough one and don't expect anything from that to be honest, looking at us at the moment.
I believe we're more than capable of winning our next four home matches. However, I'm also aware that I'm blind and my love for Danny Wilson is such that I would allow him to defecate over my children.
